Following your brief lesson on medieval life, Ms Rumage and Ms Carr will assign you to a group that will detail which order you will need to complete the tasks above. This will ensure that not everyone will be using the print resources at the same time. Please answer the questions on your provided worksheet which will be handed in at the end of your class period.

View the Horrible Histories video on the plague
Discuss how peasants lives could be improved by the plague (could ask for better living conditions)
Activity
Instruct students to pick a random job from a bag
Instruct students to pick a slip that determines whether they survive the plague (typically 5 in 25)
Have students reveal who has survived and separate them from the group
Discuss at what type of life these survivors will have
Allow survivors the opportunity to choose two people to save and give those that have died an opportunity to present their case.
